There are so many things to do and see in Western North Carolina, such as touring the Biltmore Estate, the Biltmore House and Biltmore Winery. Our Antique Log Cabin is also close and scenic drive to Hot Springs, NC , Waynesville, NC, Marshall, NC, Cherokee, NC , Maggie Valley, NC, Biltmore, NC, Black Mountain, NC. There is great shopping in all of these towns but Asheville will have the most variety and largest options. There is the Grove Arcade, The River Arts District, Southern Highland Craft Guild, Appalachian Craft Center, The Folk Arts Center, Grovewood Gallery, Seven Sisters Craft Gallery and many more artists. galleries. Romantic Asheville has most everything you would need from great restaurants, outdoor/ clothing stores, all types of grocery stores, jewelry stores or anything else you may need on a Romantic Vacation. Most of this shopping is 15 to 20 miles from our Asheville Log Cabin. To get to the Black Wolf Cabins you take a beautiful and scenic drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the roads in the area are real drivers. roads so if you like spirited driving this is the place for you. We get many motorcyclists to the Asheville area every year because of the fine roads and scenic beauty. The Black Wolf Cabins driveway is easily handled by motorcycles and sports cars. We have sports cars and have no problem with the driveway, nor do our friends with motorcycles. If curvy and fun driving roads are your thing just ask and we will be more than happy to point some out. Some of the more well known roads in the Blue Ridge Mountains are The Tail of the Dragon, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Hwy 209/ The Rattler, Hwy 151, The Cherohala Skyway and Hwy 63 / Doggett Mountain (Little Tail of the Dragon). These are the roads where the moonshiners honed their skills, before going on to be NASCAR legends. The Cherokee Thunder Rally is held on the Cherokee Reservation and is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in Western North Carolina. Many automobile and motorcycle publications note Western North Carolina as having some of the best roads in the country and when you get here you will see why.
