Our cabin is a real hand hewn antique log cabin that was built in 1880 by Peter Bailey Woody for his new bride. In 1994 I restored the same cabin for my wife and our honeymoon. Since it was first built more than 130 years ago, the cabin has been amazingly warm, inviting and romantic. After many years of living in the cabin we have decided to share the romance of this unique place.
The Black Wolf Cabin has recently gone through a complete restoration with the romantic couple getaway in mind. Unlike many cabins for rent in the area, ours has room to stretch out. The Black Wolf Cabin has a separate kitchen and dining room, a separate living room and a separate bedroom, plus the bonus of the secluded loft. There are also 3 decks and a private pavilion by the creek that give you plenty of space to relax and unwind. The cabin has the added convenience of Satellite TV, Wi-Fi (DSL), Phone (landline), Full Kitchen, Gas Grill, Washer/ Dryer, Gas Wood Stove and Air Conditioning.
The Black Wolf Cabin is nestled in Western North Carolina's Great Smokey Mountains. This true antique cabin is a premier romantic Asheville vacation log cabin destination.

So far, over 6,000 acres have been preserved and Black Wolf Cabins are nestled amongst this land.

As the seasons change we look forward to welcoming more and more guests to our Asheville Cabin Rental. As the days get longer the crocuses start to pop up. Soon the willows will begin to turn green and the mountains will come alive with spring. Our Asheville Cabin Rental is surrounded by flowers, flowering trees and plants. There is an amazing carpet of flox just behind the house that welcomes in the warmer weather. The wonderful thing about vacationing in the mountains is our warm days and cool nights. This is rare in the south but not here at these Asheville Cabin Rentals. Take advantage of the comfortable weather under the new pavilion with a hammock and rocking chairs. There is always a cool breeze moving through the pavilion. Add that to the romantic creek babbling just a few feet away and there is no better place to unwind. Willow trees are very calming and the pavilion has two large willows just next it and when the wind blows the rustling of the leaves and the swaying of the limbs are incredibly soothing. Speaking of trees, my wife and I planted all of the trees on the property. When we were married we honeymooned at a family Cabin in Maine. The place in Maine has been so dear to my family we wanted a piece of that at our Cabin in Asheville. So we brought back many Paper Birch and Spruce trees from our property in Maine. Those trees that started as 1 foot twigs in 1995 are now close to 30 feet tall. They can be seen just off of the 2 decks in front of our Asheville Cabin Rental. We have always felt that those trees have brought our marriage luck and we hope to share that luck with you at this unique Asheville Cabin Rentals.
All the plants and landscaping at our Asheville Cabin Rentals have been designed to beautify and add to the nestled feeling you get on the property. Back in 1880 Log Cabins were built next to a water source such as a spring or creek and sheltered as much as possible from the elements. At this Asheville Cabin Rental we have tried to enhance this shaded and secluded feeling by adding many flowering plants and trees to keep you looking forward to the next bloom. The creek is an excellent backdrop to your Romantic Vacation Getaway. The creek is ever present, but waiting in the background to add ambiance to the sights and sounds of the surrounding nature.
Book your dates now to avoid the spring rush at our Ashville Cabin Rental. Watch the mountains transform into one the best times of the year in the Great Smoky Mountains. Every day the leaves change into different shades of green. The Dogwoods, Bradford Pear and Yoshino Cherry trees surround the cabin and envelope it with color. Catch the sun shining through the flowering trees and it is an image to remember. John Muir said, "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." We feel this way about our property and hope to pass the feeling on to you.
